During the winter months it is delightfully warm and cosy around the fire and in the summer long lazy evenings can be spent in the pretty garden.

The village inn, The Mount, serves excellent food and ale and is only a short walk away. It stands at the top of the hill with beautiful views across the valley.

Situated on the side of Chalford Hill, the cottage is approached via a steep narrow lane. In this part of Gloucestershire, the Cotswolds are cut by deep gorge-like valleys opening out westward into the Severn plain.

The village has a store where you can purchase fresh produce, the Lavender Bake House coffee shop, a Tesco Express and a fish and chip shop. There are many excellent pubs and restaurants in the area. The award winning Farmers Market at Stroud is on Saturdays.
