There are magnificent views in all directions over the Teme and Kyre valleys, ancient woodland and unspoilt farmland. It has a wealth of features including exposed beams, an old oak staircase, leaded light windows, an Aga and wood burning stove. The patio looks out over the Long Cover ancient woodland, rich in wildlife. This raised and tranquil cottage has magnificent views across fields and farmland.

Guests will enjoy a private patio to the side which looks on to Fishpools and an ancient oak woodland. The cottage is in an ideal location for an outdoor break in Worcestershire. This beautiful ‘chocolate box’ thatched cottage dates back to the 17th century and was once the village post office. A remnant of those days is the red post box adorning the front of the property. The interior of Corner Thatch has many period features including exposed timberwork, slate tiled floors and a brick fireplace with bread oven set above the gas effect wood burning stove. The master bedroom with en-suite occupies the first floor, while the second bedroom is conveniently located on the ground floor, also with an en-suite shower room. Outside there is a lovely, south facing garden with paved patio and garden furniture for four, the perfect spot for outdoor dining.

Corner Thatch is situated in the idyllic village of Abbotts Morton where many of the buildings retain the ‘black and white’ half-timbered charm. Abbotts Morton is one of the oldest and most picturesque villages in Worcestershire which has a wealth of history and is listed in the Doomsday Book. The nearby villages of Inkberrow, Flyford Flavell and Radford offer an excellent range of pubs and village stores as well as an award winning farm shop at Dunnington. Corner Thatch is in easy driving distance of both the Cotswold and Warwickshire borders, including Stratford-upon-Avon only a 25 minute drive away. The surrounding countryside provides numerous walks over footpaths, bridleways and cycle routes though scenic fields, woodlands and the Piddle Brook watercourse.

The Dairy is a converted former cheese press with a wonderful private cottage garden set at the base of Bredon Hill. Head up to the first floor to find the tastlefully decorated bedroom with a 6' zip and link bed, an en-suite shower room and contemporary freestanding bath.

Eckington is the perfect base for exploring the unspoilt countryside of Worcestershire and the Cotswolds whether on foot or bicycle and there are plenty of walks close by suitable for all levels of ability. A little further afield are the popular destinations of Stratford-upon- Avon and Cheltenham which are both under an hour’s drive away.
