This gorgeous cottage is full of character, in the loveliest of settings and further enhanced by magnificent views. An ideal choice for a romantic getaway or outdoor enthusiasts and is equally attractive in both summer and winter.
The lodge was once a gamekeeper's house in historic Coollattin House estate, home of the Rockingham/Wentworth/Fitzwilliam Family from the late 17th century until 1975. The famous oak woods survive in Tomnafinnoge wood 1 mile. Oak timbers from here were used in the roof of Westminster Hall. From the woods there is a new walk along the old disused railway to the station at Tinahely. The designated Wicklow Way walk is also nearby. As the Lodge is at the end of a long cul de sac your country walk commences at the entrance gates.
For lovers of the countryside, the winter has its own reward - a bewitching time of year! The Lodge is the perfect centre for escape or activity.
